ironically the same thing is happening in WoW and look at its popularity, and to my amazement most of the people I met in Aion were former L2 players rather than WoW players, that's just shows how firmly Blizzard fans keep to their game rather than finding something new, which is the case when referring to L2 one thing I didn't like about Aion is the same flaw that WoW has.. its too much item oriented for me, most of the game focuses on getting better and better gear, rather than getting to know your class/skills/places
